Students at Carver Community School went home last Friday with this year’s second school-wide read aloud title. Each student received a book, family tips about reading together, and questions about the book to be asked at school. It’s been more than 25 years since DMPS made comprehensive changes to elementary school attendance areas. A lot changes in a quarter of a century, and to better serve students and meet the needs of schools the district has adopted new attendance areas for many elementary schools. As a Title I school, our students may qualify for tutoring services at no cost to their family. To be eligible, students must also be approved for free/reduced-price lunch, and not have received tutoring services during the first semester of this school year.
